A quick explanation of the blog name, in case it’s gone over your head. Oita-ken is the prefecture where I will be teaching English. Ken means prefecture in Japanese, but it sounds earily similar to the English word “can”. And of course the name is play on the phrase “Anything you can do, I can do better.” of “Annie” fame.
